Terms of service

1. Who we are

The cv-pohja.fi CV builder at app.cv-pohja.fi (the “service”) is run by Post & de Rijk V.O.F., a general partnership registered in the Netherlands (KvK 97344109, VAT NL868012270B01), Timorstraat 26, 3312 CW Dordrecht, the Netherlands. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Post & de Rijk V.O.F., and when you use the service, your agreement is with us. You can reach us at info@postenderijk.nl.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. You must be at least 16, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission. When you buy something, Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to the purchase (see section 5).

3. The service

The service helps you write a CV: you upload an existing CV or write one, the service reviews it and suggests improvements, and you download it as a PDF.

• Free: writing, editing and downloading your CV in any template, and a limited number of suggestions.
• Pro (paid): application packs that unlock every suggestion, tailoring to a job ad and the full design options for a number of CVs.

4. Access to your CVs

Your CVs belong to an account. Until you give an email address, the account exists in your browser only. The email you give at checkout becomes your account, and you can log in with it on any device using a code we send to that email. Anyone who can read that email can open and edit your CVs, so keep the inbox secure.

5. Prices and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

• Prices are shown in euros and include VAT. Paddle charges the payment, handles VAT and sends the receipt. Paddle’s Buyer Terms apply to your purchase.
• A pack is a one-off payment. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
• A pack holds a number of applications. One application is one Pro CV for one job. The first application is used for the CV you buy from. Each further one is used when you create a new CV from My CVs. Editing, downloading again or changing the template of a Pro CV you already have is free.
• Validity: 1 application for 2 weeks, 10 applications for 6 months, 25 applications for 1 year, counted from the purchase. Unused applications expire at the end of that period. Your Pro CVs stay editable and downloadable until the CV is deleted (see the privacy policy).
• A pack belongs to the account it was bought with.
• If you buy another pack while one is valid, the applications add up and the validity runs from the later end date.

6. Refunds

You have a 14-day money-back guarantee. It ends when you download a Pro CV. The details are in the refund policy.

7. Your content

• What you write, upload or paste into the service (your CV, photo, job ads) stays yours. You give us the right to store and process it only as far as needed to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.
• You are responsible for what you put in. A CV must be true and about you, or about someone who asked you to help with theirs. Only upload content you have the right to use. Don’t put another person’s personal data in without their permission.
• You can delete a CV at any time from the editor’s menu.

8. Suggestions made by AI

• The review, the suggestions and the job-ad tailoring are produced automatically by AI language models (currently from Anthropic). They can be wrong, incomplete or not suited to your situation.
• Read every suggestion before you use it. Your CV says what you choose to put in it, and you are responsible for checking that it is true and accurate before you send it.
• The service gives general writing help. It is not career, legal or immigration advice, and we don’t promise any interview or job.
• What the service writes for you is yours to use, with no rights reserved by us.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• break the law, or create a CV in someone else’s name without their permission, or with false credentials meant to deceive an employer;
• send spam or commit fraud, including payment fraud or refund abuse;
• upload content that infringes someone’s copyright or other rights, or that is hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or otherwise illegal;
• interfere with the service: malware, probing or testing for vulnerabilities, overloading it, scraping it or accessing it by automated means, or reverse engineering it;
• try to make the AI models produce content the service is not meant for, for example by instructing them through your CV or a job ad (jailbreaking or prompt injection).

We may remove content that breaks these rules. If you think content in the service infringes your rights, write to info@postenderijk.nl and we’ll look at it promptly.

10. Our rights

The service, its software, design, templates and texts belong to us or our licensors. You may use the CVs you download for any purpose. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the service or its templates.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running, but we don’t guarantee that it is always available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop the service, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice on the site to anyone with a valid pack, so you can download your CVs.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access, or delete content, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment is not made or is reversed, or if your use puts the service, other users or us at risk of security problems or fraud. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and give you the chance to download your CVs.

13. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care. We are not liable for indirect loss or for the result of your job search. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. None of this limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for intent or gross negligence, and none of it affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for a pack you’ve already bought, we’ll tell you by email before it takes effect. The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones in force when you made it.

15. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can take a dispute to the courts there. Please write to us first. Most problems are solved fastest by email.

16. Language

These terms are written in English. A Finnish translation is provided for convenience. If they differ, the English version applies.
